Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Keystone Business Advisors (“Keystone Business Advisors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit kba.tax, contact us, or use our tax resolution services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

When you contact us, request services, or work with us, you may provide information such as your name, email address, mailing address, telephone (including mobile) number, and the tax, financial, and identification documents and details you share with us to resolve your tax matter. We also collect the contents of any messages you send us through our contact form, email, or text message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting infrastructure may automatically log limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you view. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.

Text messaging (SMS) information

We collect your mobile phone number when you opt in to receive SMS notifications from Keystone Business Advisors. We use these text messages to send case status updates, document requests, appointment confirmations, and e-signature links. We also keep a record of your consent (opt-in) and the messages exchanged. See “Text Messaging (SMS)” below for how this information is handled.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, perform, and deliver our tax resolution and related services;
  • To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your account and engagements;
  • To send the SMS notifications you have opted into — case status updates, document requests, appointment confirmations, and e-signature links;
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website;
  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional obligations, including IRS recordkeeping requirements.

3. Text Messaging (SMS)

We send text messages only to clients who have opted in to receive them. By opting in, you consent to receive SMS notifications from Keystone Business Advisors — including case status updates, document requests, appointment confirmations, and e-signature links. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can revoke your consent and opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@kba.tax. Consenting to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as follows:

  • Service providers / subcontractors: trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as hosting, communications, and customer support), bound by confidentiality and permitted to use the information only to provide those services;
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Keystone Business Advisors, our clients, or others;
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

As stated above, mobile opt-in information and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain our records, and comply with our legal, tax, and professional obligations (including retention periods required for tax records), after which it is deleted or de-identified.

6. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us;
  • You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP;
  • You may opt out of non-essential email communications by following the unsubscribe instructions or contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

10. Changes to This Policy
